These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Science 4 Kids website and participation in any Science 4 Kids activities, including classes, clubs, workshops, holiday activities and parties. By accessing our website, booking a service, or allowing a child to participate in our activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

In these Terms and Conditions, “Science 4 Kids”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Science 4 Kids. “You” refers to the parent, guardian, school, organisation, client or participant using our services or website.

Website Use
  1. The content of this website is provided for general information only and is subject to change without notice.

  2. While Science 4 Kids takes reasonable care to ensure the accuracy of the information published on this website, we make no guarantees regarding completeness, accuracy or suitability for any particular purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk.

  3. This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to Science 4 Kids, including but not limited to text, layout, design, graphics and logos. Reproduction of any content is prohibited without prior written consent.

  4. Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages and may constitute a criminal offence.

  5. From time to time, this website may include links to external websites. These links are provided for convenience only. Science 4 Kids has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content of linked websites.

Bookings and Payments
  1. Unless otherwise stated, all bookings must be paid in full for a place to be secured.

  2. Science 4 Kids uses an online booking system. A booking is considered confirmed only once payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Science 4 Kids.

  3. An email confirmation acknowledges receipt of payment and confirms your request to book a place on a Science 4 Kids activity. Bookings are subject to availability and these Terms and Conditions.

  4. For safeguarding and capacity reasons, places cannot be guaranteed for participants who arrive without a prior booking.

Medical Information and Consent
  1. Parents or guardians must disclose, in writing at the time of booking, any medical conditions, allergies, special educational needs, disabilities or other relevant information relating to the participant.

  2. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure this information is accurate and kept up to date. Failure to disclose relevant medical or behavioural information may result in refusal of participation for safety reasons.

Safeguarding and Behaviour
  1. Science 4 Kids is committed to safeguarding children and providing a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.

  2. All participants are expected to follow safety instructions and behave respectfully towards staff, volunteers and other children at all times.

  3. Science 4 Kids reserves the right to remove a participant from an activity, without refund, if their behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, aggressive or repeatedly fails to follow instructions. The decision of the lead teacher regarding safety and behaviour is final.

Venues and Responsibility
  1. Science 4 Kids delivers activities in schools, public venues and private homes.

  2. When activities take place in schools or public venues, Science 4 Kids operates in accordance with the venue’s health and safety procedures, safeguarding policies and emergency protocols.

  3. When activities take place in private homes, the host or client remains responsible for the safety, suitability and condition of the premises, including access, fire safety, electrical safety and general environment. Science 4 Kids is responsible only for the safe delivery of its activities within the agreed space.

  4. Science 4 Kids does not accept responsibility for the health and safety of parents, guardians, spectators or other non-participants at any venue, unless injury or damage is caused by proven negligence on the part of Science 4 Kids.

Health and Safety
  1. Science 4 Kids takes health and safety seriously. Risk assessments are carried out for activities and venues where required, and appropriate control measures are implemented.

  2. Some activities may involve water, glassware, household chemicals, balloons, tools or heat sources. All such activities are supervised and risk assessed; however, participation in practical activities involves a small level of inherent risk.

  3. Participants must follow all safety instructions given by Science 4 Kids staff. Failure to do so may result in removal from the activity.

Liability and Insurance
  1. Science 4 Kids holds appropriate public liability insurance.

  2. While all reasonable steps are taken to ensure activities are safe and suitable for children, Science 4 Kids cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage except where caused by proven negligence on the part of Science 4 Kids.

  3. Science 4 Kids shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to venue closure, extreme weather, or illness.

Personal Belongings
  1. Science 4 Kids accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings brought to any activity. Personal items should not be left unattended.

Photography and Filming
  1. Science 4 Kids may take photographs or video recordings during activities for promotional and marketing purposes, including use on websites, social media and printed materials.

  2. Parents or guardians who do not consent to photography or filming must inform Science 4 Kids in writing at the time of booking or before the activity begins. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to communicate this clearly.

  3. All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Cancellations and Refunds
  1. Statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply where relevant.

  2. Where a course, club or activity begins within the 14-day statutory cancellation period, and the participant attends one or more sessions during this time, Science 4 Kids reserves the right to retain a proportionate amount of the fees to reflect sessions already delivered. Any refund issued will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for sessions not yet provided.

  3. For any cancellation, whether within or outside the statutory cancellation period, an administration fee of £20 will be deducted from any refund issued. This fee covers administrative and processing costs associated with managing cancellations.

  4. Outside of statutory cancellation periods, bookings are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  5. Science 4 Kids reserves the right to cancel or reschedule activities due to unforeseen circumstances such as strikes, staff illness, venue issues, insufficient numbers or events beyond our control. Where possible, an alternative date or credit will be offered.

  6. No refunds will be issued for sessions that have already taken place. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance or early withdrawal from activities.

Parties and Private Events
  1. For parties and private events, the client is responsible for ensuring children are supervised outside the activity time and that the venue is suitable for the activity.

  2. If a party or event starts late due to the client, the session duration may be reduced. If a delay is caused by Science 4 Kids, reasonable efforts will be made to make up lost time.

  3. Additional costs may apply if sessions overrun beyond the agreed booking time.

Data Protection
  1. Science 4 Kids collects and processes personal data solely for safeguarding, operational and legal purposes. Data is stored securely, access is restricted, and information is retained only for as long as necessary. Details are not shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
